A Change of Direction

No...I'm not about to stop making wedding cakes and traybakes - that's my 'bread and butter' (or Victoria Sponge, in Cake World). But after a thoroughly enjoyable Village Hall wedding for Sophie and Oliver, Hannah's Kitchen is proud to offer a cold buffet service, including (in fact, strongly recommending!) a cake table, filled with your choice of cakes, bakes and sweet treats. 

Based on Sophie and Oliver's vision for the wedding, Hannah's Kitchen produced an assortment of locally sourced meats, cheeses, quiches, accompanied by a mixture of 'not-your-bog-standard' salads to feed the seventy-five guests, with plenty of leftovers for the evening do. Decorated with edible flowers, a variety of the couples favourite cakes and traybakes (Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Pistachio & Orange triple layer cake, Sticky Toffee traybake, Chocolate cheesecake and much, much more) offered the guests a sweet to satisfy everyone.

 

It was a tiring day - and my husband has never seen so much washing up in his life, poor man - but the buzz of everyone around the buffet tables, and the wonderful feedback we received made up my mind. I am, after all, at my happiest when people are enjoying the food I make. From Gareth's delight at a new and delicious birthday cake, to 75 people coming back for seconds - and thirds - I love the thrill of providing good food.
